All I did to get in was get good grades in high school. If you really want to go here, it's not that hard, I think they accept something like 65-75% of those who apply anyway.

I was very involved in high school in a variety of activitites. I tried to have different areas covered. Such as an academic club, varsity sports, music, service club, student government. I also work very hard during my junior year to get my grades to their highest since this is the year the schools mostly look at.

I got in from my grades in high school and a good SAT, I won't go into the score. I'll let you know a secret, I didn't even visit the school before I accepted the offer. I had many choices but RPI gave me that cool school feeling when I came for Student Orientation, except the room, bring a television! Just let the school know your passion for math, science, engineering anyhting they offer, and be ready to work if you got through high school easy like me. And a fridge can help too, for sodas and anything else you wanna keep cold.
I wouldn't say it's all that hardJul 18 2005Aerospace Engineering
I wouldn't say it's all that hard. Get good grades in high school, show that you're interested in math and science, do alright on your SAT, and maybe have some extracurriculars. There's honestly not a lot of well-rounded people here, so you don't need to be in like 1000 clubs to get in.
